Three Grants-related Truths Black folks may not be ready to hear (and why you'll listen anyway)

Dear Black people,

I am writing you as a fellow Black person who is interested in grants. I've helped Black people get over $7M in grants, and I want you to have someone like me in your community. I don't want you to have to hire an external grant writer ever again.

Here are things you may or may not want to hear.

You can get six-figure grants without writing them yourself.

Because small business owners and nonprofits can get millions of dollars in grants without writing a single one. I teach people how to get grants without writing grants every single day. Video grants are one, but there are five other things you can do to get grants without writing one. We have more resources about this here.

The longer you wait to start using our strategies, the less money you will have in your pocket.

A lot of you are still paying out of pocket for your business or non-profit. This means you're paying thousands of money on failed strategy every year. Our class is a fraction of the cost, and you'll learn exactly what you need to quickly apply for these grants that are out here.

Building Black wealth can include getting grants to help you seed your work

Because we can build Black wealth by sharing what works. We are a Black-owned business founded by a Black researcher - and it shows. We know helping Black nonprofits and Black small business is key because the data shows strong disparities between Black and non-Black organizations. We've figured out how to be successful in working with Black organizations, so we focus on approaching longer-term wealth-generation with grants strategy as a strong component.

Take my class

My class is my playbook. I've been writing grants and developing strategy for over 10 years. I work primarily with startups and very small nonprofits. I love collaborative grant proposals. Basically, I specialize in the grants that most grant writers don't even want to touch (small budgets and new orgs that aren't quite grants-ready). The class is your way to work with me in a group setting, which is an affordable option if you'd like to work with us but can't afford to put us to write for you, yet.
